Third-Party Services
Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter “Google”). Google Search Console provides us with aggregated information about how our website appears and is found in Google Search.
Nature and Scope of Processing
Google Search Console does not process any personal data of visitors to our website via scripts, cookies, or similar technologies on your device. In particular, we do not track your usage behavior on our website.
Through Search Console, Google provides us exclusively with data generated within the Google Search engine itself, specifically:
Aggregated search queries that led users to our website,
Number of impressions and clicks in Google search results,
Average rankings of our pages in search results,
Technical information regarding the indexing of our website (e.g., crawling errors, page performance).
The data provided to us is largely aggregated. Individual search queries are anonymized by Google if they have been entered by only a very small number of users.
Purpose and Legal Basis
We use Google Search Console to analyze and optimize our website’s visibility in search engines and to resolve technical errors. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technical optimization of our website and in tailoring our content to user needs.
Recipients and Transfers to Third Countries
The recipient of the data is Google. A transfer to the United States (Google LLC) cannot be ruled out. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, ensuring an adequate level of data protection within the meaning of Article 45 of the GDPR. The certification can be viewed at www.dataprivacyframework.gov.
Retention Period
The retention period for data available in Google Search Console is determined by Google’s guidelines. Currently, performance data is available for a period of up to 16 months.
